If so you may want to take a look into doing some backcountry skiing with Big Red Cats. Operated by Western alumni Paula Gaul, Big Red Cats provides professionally guided snow cat powder skiing (or boarding) in the region surrounding Red Mountain, which itself is near the city of Rossland, BC. They are offering a special 10% discount to all current UWO students and alumni, and also offer a variety of discount family packages. You can learn more about Big Red Cats at their website.
