The UWO Ski Club will be hosting a casual club social this next Thursday, November 30th. Due to almost everyone being buried with assignments and exam preparations, we’ve decided to go with something a little more relaxing than the usual, and something that offers some time flexibility for those interested in participating… that’s right, the good old dinner and a movie.

Trip Spaces Very Limited

As of Wednesday, November 22nd, there are only 5 spaces remaining for our Whiteface / Lake Placid trip, and only 6 spaces for Mont. Tremblant. If you intend to participate in either trip but have yet to place your deposit, we recommend taking care of it promptly. Payment instructions are available on each individual trip page.

We would also like to advise our members that the Campus Recreation Membership Services Desk has been requesting validation cards in addition to your student card when making payments. Given that a validation card is something that you can easily go through four years of university without ever using, a few of us have been caught by surprise by this odd requirement.

Source For Sports VIP Ski Sale

All members of the UWO Ski Club have been invited by the Ski Shop at Source For Sports London to participate in their annual VIP Ski Sale. Beginning on Tuesday, November 7th, and continuing on the nights of the 8th and 9th, the store (and club sponsor) will be holding a massive kick-off sales event where participants can: preview the latest gear from Salomon, Rossignol, Elan, Lange, Nordica, Head, Atomic, Dynastar, Volkl, Roxy and K2 (among others); have their questions answered directly by manufacturer representatives; receive special gifts such as backpacks and bags with qualifying purchases, and enter a draw to win a free trip to the fabulous Banff trio of Lake Louise, Mount Norquay, and Sunshine Village.
