Club Trips: Blue MountainSeptember 23rd, 2006 | Posted By: Mike
Contrary to the popular saying, our last trip announcement for 2007 may in fact be the least… in terms of both duration and price. The UWO Ski Club will be heading to the Collingwood, Ontario resort of Blue Mountain for a weekend trip shortly following the Christmas break. Located 3 hours northwest of London, Blue is considered the top ski resort in Ontario and features a vertical drop of 720ft. (or 6 Boler Mountains), 34 runs, and 13 chairlifts (including a few 6-person lifts).
Departing on a Friday, participants will enjoy 2 full days of skiing and will have the option of skiing Saturday night until 10pm at no additional cost. As for accommodations, we’ve booked an entire floor at Blue’s luxurious Mountain Walk. These fireplace-equipped condos are only a parking lot away from the main pedestrian village at Blue Mountain, and a short 4-5 minute walk from the lifts. You can find out more about Blue Mountain on their official web site, and can expect more details about this trip to be published in the coming weeks. We also have a ton of photos from past Blue trips published in our media gallery section.
