Slippery When Wet

Like a disgruntled leviathan thrashing its tentacles ‘willy nilly’ across an unsuspecting harbour town, the UWO Ski Club is continuing to leverage this “Web 2.0″ nonsense with reckless abandon¹; our latest victim being Facebook.

You can find and join² our group on the UWO Facebook web site by searching for the wildly original name “UWO Ski Club” within their list of “Sports and Recreation” clubs. We were tempted to go for a sexier group title such as “Books turn me on … lets get laid in Weldon”, or “Pat Quinn Is Really the Penguin From Batman Club” (a personal fav), but unfortunately those along with “I like to get drunk and break sh%&” were already taken.

We’re not quite sure what we’ll end up doing with our group page, but at the very least it should help to make all of our personal profile pages look busier while allowing us to cyberstalk many of the beautiful people who populate the club… which after all, is what Facebook’s really all about.

Notes:
1) Don’t expect to ever see us on Myspace though. That’s for emo kids with bad hair cuts.
2) Joining our Facebook Group is not the same as registering for our club and becoming an official member.
